Method Seven Resistance Rendition Series HPS Glasses

The Resistance Rendition Series HPS glasses are a good solid durable heavy duty piece of grow room technology to save your eyes from any prolonged damage when under HPS lighting. The difference with the Method Seven glasses is amazing under HPS lighting, no more powerful yellow HPS light making it easier to spot any nutrient deficiencies, bugs or diseases before damage occurs.

At the beginning of the year we were lucky enough to be given the opportunity to check out some new grow room technology and got thrown a pair of the Method Seven Resistance Rendition Series HPS glasses. The Resistance Rendition lens range are made with Method Sevens extra high quality frames built to last being a little heavier and more solid than their operator fission range, and with the packaging to match.

We really liked the packaging but couldn't help but feel the box was a little fancy as is the tradition with most products associated with quality and perhaps the price could be reduced with a different box. That isn't to say these glasses are expensive either as we think they're a bargain for what you get from them and you would easily pay twice the price of them for normal sunglasses of the same quality.

The Resistance Rendition glasses frame is a good solid durable heavy duty plastic Italian made frame and we have dropped, kicked and scuffed the Resistance Rendition Series HPS glasses pictured dozens of times prior to any of the below photos.

Ok so some of you are probably asking yourself why not just grab a $20 pair of sunglasses to save your eyes from any prolonged damage such as cataracts or pingueculae etc. Well one reason is most of those cheap sunglasses don't filter out all UV rays leaving your eyes exposed to damage still and given the different light spectrum from HPS lighting some may even put your eyes health at greater risk rather than protect them. Also cheap sunglasses have cheap lens which often cause headaches when worn for any length of time under HPS. Now I'm sure there's a few people saying to themselves "think I care Oz I have some smick bolle or oakleys... for the indoor garden" and whilst I'm sure they're great and make you look cool under the HPS they don't do this.

As you can see the difference with the Method Seven glasses is amazing and really gardening under HPS lighting with them is a must for a number of reasons but in our opinion the major and main ones are clarity in the garden with them removing the annoying yellow HPS lighting from the picture it's much easier to spot any nutrient deficiencies, bugs or diseases before they do any damage and also low light areas are easier to see through the Rendition Series HPS Glasses. Another big bonus with them as you may have noticed is you can take some really nice photos under HPS lighting with them and no blinds either to ruin the shot.

I'm sure once you get yourself a pair of the Method Seven HPS glasses you won't open the flowering tent without them ever again.

For more information on the technology from the guys at Method Seven be sure to check out their site at http://www.methodseven.com/ as they have plenty of specifications and information about their gardening glasses and future technologies.

All good hydroponics stores already stock them or have them on order such as:

Holistic Hydroponics
Outside In Hydro & Organics
Glandore Hydroponics
Lux Cuttings
Hydroponic Solutions
Holland Forge

They are in very high demand and as such can be hard to find in stock. If you know of any other places we can add to the above list just let me know.

The Method Seven Resistance Rendition Series HPS glasses price will vary from store to store for various reasons but you should be able to find them for anywhere from around $140 - $170 AUD and of course our sponsors like Glandore Hydroponics are always a good place to start and if they don't have them in stock at the moment give them a call for an eta.

We will also be grabbing a few in the coming weeks to stock in the new cannabis community Supporters Shop and will keep you posted. ;)

These would be great for my garden. 600w vert globes a few feet from your face are pretty blinding and it would make taking pics much easier.  I am curious as to how they work under non HPS lighting though.  Can't imagine them being too great for bluer spectrum lights like MH and CFL globes but I still can't help but want a pair :)

Its a shame that you have to buy two sets of glasses instead of  single pair with changeable lenses but I look forward to seeing the review :)

Shame? I wouldn't be wanting to fiddle around with precision glass lenses, those things should be treated with a bit of respect... good thing it isn't an issue for growers like you and I who use hps for veg and bloom.

I have read all the reviews, seen all the vids and now I just have to wait till my pair get here. So I can see it for my self.

Just a tip it's cheaper to buy them off the M7 website. As a few places selling the fission vs not the Res+ for the same price.

Will update once I get them.

Hi all, so I said I would up date you all one the new M7 glasses once I got them. Been flat out last couple of weeks, but it has given me more time to really see what there like.

Few of my mates have asked what there like, and my response to everyone of them is. If you care about your eyes even a fraction, you should have a part. It's just that simple. I have spent from 5 mins upto almost an hour and a half in my room the last few week. And these glasses made the world of difference. So squinting, no glare off walls, no eye straining bullshit, and 100 time better then normal sunnies, also the fact that it is 100% true the images they show of the light changing from yellow to normal.

The price is well worth it, after using them for a while. I would happily pay double what there asking. As they are really an investment in your health. The amout of time and effort I put in to getting the best, the cleanest, and tastest meds so I don't have to smoke crap PGR stuff, as I am looking after my health. Just says to me I should be looking after other parts like my eye.

For $200 ( express postage - Fedex ftw ) they are worth every cent. If you spend moderate to a lot of time tending to your girls, you would be silly not to.

10/10 - also really like the produce list they sent with the glasses. With a hand written note thanking me, and signed. Good bussness.

I have the 'operator' version, which are still pricey at $100 but they are awesome.

Took me a while to learn that I didn't have to squint anymore as I unzipped the tent :)

The colour isn't 100% accurate but its close enough and you can open your eyes fully with no with no problems at all.

I really think its one of the best purchases i've made. Believe me, your eyes will thank you for it.

Normal sunglasses don't come close by the way.

They have a reflective lens so you could wear them outside if you wanted, people wouldn't know they are hps glasses but they make everything blueish.

So I have had my M7 for a long time now. Still give them 10/10 even though the price is out there. So it's hard for people to fork that cash out. So the other day was talking to one of the local shops, and he just got some Lumii sunnies in. Cheap knock off, so he gave me a pare to test.

I was surprised at how good the are for the price $50. The frames are not that great. But I didn't expect to much for that price. However the lens in them, are good. I would rate them a 7 compared to M7. But looking at the price difference and how long your wearing them, Lumii is they way to go. Unless your using the glasses for more the 2 hours, then the easy fitting softer frame of M7 is better.

Good luck
